My stay at Hotel Villa Batalha was unfortunately marred by several disappointing experiences. The air-conditioning was an ongoing issue. it had to be activated through the front desk each time, creating unnecessary interruptions. Additionally, I found the breakfast options quite limited, which lacked the variety I was hoping for, making it feel quite underwhelming given the hotel's reputation.

The proximity to the monastery is really a highlight, and

it was just a short walk to get there. I appreciated the spacious and modern room, but I did find the dining area to be somewhat lacking in atmosphere. The spa offered a nice escape after a long day of sightseeing, though I wish the water was warmer.

The spa area is perfect for unwinding, and the bar serve up great snacks with chill vibes. Staff were super helpful, and the view of the monastery from my room was a real bonus!

the air-conditioner was an absoluteley outrageous disaster, needing a call to reception just to turn it on! and the gym? it was embarrassing to find it was completely out of order. i almost felt like leaving a good review, then realized i woudl ve been better off sleeping in my car.

Spacious room and bathroom. All the amenities you could dream of! Parking was plentiful and free, which is a rare treat nowadays. The rooms were fresh and clean, making for an enjoyable stay overall.

But I wanted to fight the air conditioning unit—honestly, it had a better social life than me. Also, the restaurant was bit like a limited menu at a diner. more options would have been divine!

The family room was well-maintained and had enough space for us. We appreciated the extra bed provided for our kid at no extra cost. The surrounding area was nice, with plenty of free parking. Oh! And we had a really good dinner at the restaurant!

My stay was made extra special by the fantastic proximity to incredible sites such as the Centro de Interpretacao da Batalha de Aljubarrota, just a few minutes away, and the charming A Padaria da Batalha, perfect for grabbing a pastry and starting my city explorations. I also appreciated the spacious room which made lounging after my adventures so comforting.
