The location on a wildlife estate with abundant wildlife was fantastic. The hosts, Sander and Juliet, were attentive and provided great information about the surrounding areas. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the rooms were spacious and well-decorated. The pool was clean and enjoyable.

Fantastic hosts who were very helpful and gave great advice on activities and sightseeing. Rooms were clean and had a close proximity to wildlife, providing a unique safari experience. Prepared for power outages in the region. Delicious food options, especially the braai. Walking in the area allowed for encounters with giraffes, antelopes, and more. Suitable for both couples and families with kids.

Great location, friendly staff, delicious meals and spacious rooms. Saw impalas, wildebeests, monkeys, and a giraffe from our porch. Heated pool and excellent tour arrangements. Saw the big 5 within a day. Perfect chill out spot with a knowledgeable safari guide. Tranquil lodge on a wildlife estate, plenty of animals and birds to see. Exceptional braai. a lovely stay.

The service provided by the host was exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure a fantastic stay. He arranged day tours and transfers at a reasonable cost. the rooms were clean, well-styled, and comfortable. the food for breakfast and dinner was delicious. Additionally, the opportunity to ride bikes and see giraffes and zebras on the estate was a memorable experience.

There were no negative aspects of my stay at this hotel.

The lodge was in a great location, surrounded by wildlife. It was truly a unique experience. the owner of the hotel was also very friendly and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay. the hotel itself was beautifully decorated and well-stocked with all the necessary amenities. It was clear that the owner had put a lot of thought into every detail of the room and the property. the breakfast served was delicious, and we particularly enjoyed the local beers that were available at a reasonable price.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like about this place. It was absolutely fantastic in every way.

We had a fabulous 5 night stay at this lovely lodge. Sander and Juliet were amazing hosts, making us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. The food was delicious, the pool inviting, and the staff friendly and attentive. The lodge is situated in a wildlife estate, where you can freely observe wildlife on foot. Absolutely wonderful!

Our 2 visits felt like coming home after a 4-day safari in Kruger. The rooms were superb, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. The pool was refreshing, and the lodge was surrounded by wildlife. Sander and Juliette were fantastic hosts, and Sander's BBQ skills were exceptional. The meals were delicious, and the lodge's location between the Panorama route and Kruger Park was convenient. We also enjoyed the road bikes and the Blyde canyon hike. Thank you, Sander and Juliette, for your hospitality.

The accommodation was clean, nicely decorated, and had everything we needed. the lodge is located in a beautiful and tranquil setting, surrounded by wildlife and offering the opportunity to see animals up close.

The location was quite remote and required driving to restaurants or other amenities. A taxi service would have been useful.

This place is the ultimate holiday spot, where you can relax, unwind and have the best vacation ever. You can do all kinds of thrilling activities like canoeing and river rafting, and enjoy the beautiful nature that South Africa has to offer.

I traveled to Hoedspruit for a relaxing getaway and stayed at African Rock Lodge. The breakfast and dinner barbecue were delicious. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Sander, the lodge host, was incredibly helpful with tour tips and arranging game drives. He even prepared a delicious breakfast for us when we had to leave early for a self-drive tour. The owners, Gerard and Yvonne, were gracious hosts and took us on amazing tours around the area. The lodge had a cozy bar, outdoor seating by a fire pit, and a small swimming pool. It was a truly wonderful experience.
