During my stay at City Lodge Newtown, I was impressed with the clean and well-equipped rooms. The modern property had a great location and the staff were friendly and helpful. I particularly appreciated the convenient USB charging ports in the bedroom. I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Johannesburg.

There was nothing I didn't like.

I stayed at a budget-friendly hotel located in a bustling area near the train station, which made it convenient for me to explore the city. The hotel was also in close proximity to a shopping mall, offering a range of dining and shopping options. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning to combat the heat. The staff were polite and helpful, and the breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful.

There was one minor issue with the door, as it required a significant amount of force to open and close. It would have been more convenient if the door operated smoothly.

The burgers and ribs were amazing and the chef deserves all the praise. the hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. the location was convenient, close to a shopping mall and provided excellent security.

The receptionist took a while to attend to us and there were some communication issues with ordering coffee. the immediate surroundings were a bit suspect with people loitering around, which might concern families with young children.

Efficient staff, comfortable beds, generator for power outages, tasty dinner options, excellent chef.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Newtown! the location was perfect - right in the middle of the city, next to a convenient mall. It made exploring the area so easy and convenient. Secondly, the staff was amazing, especially the barman Jacob. He provided excellent service and even brought our meals up to the room. Lastly, the attention to detail was impeccable. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the basic amenities were all there.
