I recently stayed at Curiocity Backpackers for a few nights and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing valuable information and ensuring the safety of all guests. The hostel had a great atmosphere, with beautiful common areas and a separate space just for residents. It was refreshing to be able to walk around the neighborhood, which is not common in Joburg. The kitchen facilities were excellent, with an outdoor balcony offering nice views of the city. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable stay.

We had a pleasant stay at Curiocity Backpackers in Johannesburg. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. The shower was great and the bathrooms were clean. The beds were comfortable and kept us warm throughout the night. Despite some noise in the area at night, the bar had a chill vibe and we enjoyed playing pool and cards. The surrounding area had a lot of street art and nice restaurants to explore. we would recommend this place to others.

Located in a lively and secured neighbourhood, this accommodation offers clean and modern facilities with plenty of art installations. The friendly staff organises daily tours and activities which is a great way to meet other travellers and explore the city. The bar area is beautifully decorated and reasonable priced. The private rooms are located on a high floor in a nearby building with great views.

We loved this place! The location is fantastic, surrounded by great eateries and it really immerses you in the local culture. The receptionist was amazing, recommending a spacious and beautifully decorated room for us. The atmosphere here feels like home, with a lovely communal balcony and a bar that even offers muffins and croissants!

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a family-friendly place to stay.

The location of the hostel is fantastic, with many restaurants, bars, and coffee shops within walking distance. It is right in the heart of Maboneng, one of the most interesting neighborhoods in the city. Additionally, it is close to the city center, making it convenient for exploring JoBurg.

We stayed at a backpackers located in the heart of downtown, which was perfect for exploring the city. The hostel had a great communal area and balcony, perfect for hanging out with friends. The room was nice and sunny, although early morning sunlight made it hard to sleep. The staff was friendly and the experience overall was good.

The prices for food and drinks at the hostel were a bit expensive.

Had an average easter at this hostel. the free coffee and tea were appreciated, as was the free wifi. the location near public transportation made it easy to explore the city. the communal areas were nice and spacious, however, the cleanliness was often lacking.

The staff and security were a bit too relaxed for our liking. We didn't feel very safe with random people walking through the common areas.
