Peaceful setting, lots of bird life, lovely pool, good room with air con, close to town.

Nothing to dislike.

We had the most charming stay at Diemersfontein. The old house oozes character and is a true gem. Our breakfast was delicious, and the bacon and eggs were top-notch. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Franschhoek, with easy access to shops and restaurants. The apartment itself was nearly new and beautifully finished. The huge balcony was a sun trap and ideal for enjoying a glass of wine in the evening. The kitchen was well-equipped for self-catering. I highly recommend this hotel for its charm, location, and high standard of accommodation.

Great location, close to town center and surrounded by beautiful nature. We enjoyed the free wine tasting and the fact that the estate staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and spacious.

Our experience was let down by the poor quality of breakfast and disorganized service in the restaurant. The limited breakfast menu didn't offer much variety and the waitress was unfriendly and uninterested in helping.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The location was perfect, situated right in the heart of town, allowing me to easily explore the shops and restaurants with a leisurely stroll. The hotel itself exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and quality. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, with incredibly comfortable beds that ensured a restful night's sleep. The highlight for me was the gorgeous garden, complete with a lovely pool and an interesting manor house. It provided a serene oasis where I could unwind and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay here truly memorable.

Breakfast had a good variety of options, including tasty sausages and a fresh fruit bowl. The garden rooms are situated in beautiful grounds with a secluded pool, perfect for cooling off. Wi-fi and a generator ensured uninterrupted service. The restaurant offered a wonderful dinner selection, and the complimentary wine tasting was informative and enjoyable – we ended up purchasing 6 bottles. We look forward to returning soon!
