Had a great Xmas stay in Durbanville at a hotel with a convenient location for family weddings. the reception staff were very accommodating and the restaurant staff were good. the apartments were spacious and comfortable, making it a home away from home. the two-bedroom loft apartment was a winner, creating a sense of being in one's own home.

There were some negative aspects. the pool was overcrowded and too small.

The staff at Protea Hotel were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They were also very attentive and addressed any issues or concerns we had promptly and efficiently. We were impressed with their excellent communication and sense of humor throughout our stay. The outdoor facilities were well-maintained and enjoyable to use.

Felt extremely safe, no complaints whatsoever.

The hotel staff were legendary, going above and beyond to make me feel welcome and like part of their family. The hotel is conveniently located in a nice area with plenty of safe parking and easy access to a nearby coffee shop.

Despite a few minor inconveniences, such as a plumbing problem in one of the units and the lack of safety officers on-site, I found the hotel to be neat and clean overall. The fast Wi-Fi was another plus point. I would recommend this hotel for a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, from Mustphe who showed us to our room to Vincent who worked in the bar and Yolanda who was so helpful. The breakfast was delicious, especially the omelettes made by Fatima. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and well-equipped. The hotel had everything we needed, including a pool and outdoor seating area. a fabulous hotel with excellent staff.
