I stayed at Samara for 3 days and wished it had been for 7. The setting in the ethereal Karoo was truly special, and the beautiful room and excellent staff created a wonderful experience. The limited choices on the menu didn't disappoint, as the food was excellent. The safari guides were exceptional and made the close-up wildlife experience amazing. The commitment to ethical tourism and conservation is exemplary.

I recently stayed at Samara in the Karoo and had a truly stunning experience. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating, making us feel like part of the family. Our guide, Jan, was brilliant and tailored the game drives to our interests, even taking us to challenging slopes for breathtaking views and to track a cheetah. The Karoo Lodge, a charming old farmhouse, had beautiful furniture and historical decorations, with comfortable sitting areas all around. The intent of Samara to preserve endangered species and return the Karoo to its original state was evident and encouraging. a memorable stay.

We stayed at the charming Karoo Lodge for a few days and were welcomed like family by the delightful staff. The farmhouse was beautifully furnished with historical decor, and the surrounding sitting areas provided a cozy atmosphere. Our room had its own outside area called a 'stoop,' perfect for enjoying the Karoo surroundings. The game drives led by Jan, the knowledgeable ranger, were a highlight, allowing us to get close to black rhinos and witness incredible birdlife. The commitment of Samara to preserving the Karoo and its endangered species was evident throughout our stay.
