Fantastic ocean views and attentive staff

I truly enjoyed the breathtaking ocean views from the property and the exceptional service provided by the staff. the attention to detail in guest care was impeccable. improvements can be made in terms of room upgrades and addressing noise disturbances.

This hotel is a gem! the sun-kissed rooms with modern finishes will make you feel luxurious. the staff is super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay special - they even surprised my daughter with a birthday cake! the breakfast was delicious, and the staff's attention to detail was commendable. the beach just across the road is a great plus if you love beach vibes. They offer convenient tours and ticket assistance, and the shower pressure is amazing. Can't wait to come back for another relaxing stay!

Some street noise could be heard in the rooms with closed windows but nothing that a pair of earplugs couldn't solve, especially for light sleepers. the room upgrade led to a noisy bar fridge and an impractical bathroom door.

The hotel's location opposite the beach in the lovely area of St James was absolutely stunning. I could hear the soothing sound of the ocean from my room, and it was within walking distance to Kalk Bay and many cafes. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. They even went out of their way to contact me when I forgot something behind.

We recently stayed at a charming boutique hotel in a fantastic location by the sea. the staff at Sonnekus were exceptional, providing attentive and understanding care for our elderly parents. They even went the extra mile to make our stay memorable, contacting us about a forgotten item. the meals were delicious and reasonably priced, and the beach and nearby areas were easily accessible. We enjoyed spotting dolphins and a whale in the beautiful bay. the popularity of the establishment was evident from the steady stream of passersby. We will definitely be returning to Sonnekus Boutique Hotel & Bistro.

Beautifully decorated, with cozy rooms and ocean views. Conveniently located near the beach and attractions like Cape Point and the Penguin colony. Friendly staff and delicious food at the café. Great value for money. We would definitely return! 🌊
