our wedding celebration stay in winterton was made extra special at the lodge. the friendly staff and superb service exceeded our expectations. the delicious food and beautiful surroundings made it a memorable experience.

The location of the lodge is peaceful and surrounded by beautifully kept lawns and gardens. The lodge offers a relaxing and stress-free environment, perfect for unwinding and connecting with nature. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. The breakfast provided is delicious and the portions are generous, ensuring a satisfying start to the day. the staff is friendly, helpful, and efficient, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Some parts of the bathrooms may need a slight upgrade to enhance the overall experience.

We stayed at this lovely lodge for 4 nights and had a great time. The bungalow accommodation was spacious, well equipped, and clean, with ample space for 5 people in 3 separate rooms. The covered parking next to the bungalow was also very useful. The highlight of our stay was the guided tour of the Spionkop battlefield, led by the knowledgeable and friendly Raymond. The view from Mount Alice, situated on the extensive property of this working cattle farm, is superb and should not be missed. We also enjoyed the interesting historic photographs on the walls of the bar and dining room.

Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.
