i had a delightful stay at St James Guest Houses. the traditional house had a beautiful sea view and the breakfast was nice. the staff, though not always easy to reach, were friendly. the central location made it easy to explore the charming surroundings.

1880 property with spacious, elegant interiors, beautiful pool area, and secure parking. Historical photographs and books about the area in rooms. Extremely helpful staff, especially the manager. Exceptional served breakfasts. Two tidal pools within 5 minutes, Muizenberg beach a scenic walk away. Quality restaurants, famous antique bookshop, and picturesque harbor nearby.

The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-furnished with a beautiful view of the bay. The location is perfect for exploring Muizenberg and Kalk Bay, and you can even hear the waves from your room. The pool area is a nice touch with large loungers and umbrellas. Check-in and check-out were seamless, thanks to the helpful staff. The breakfast was simple but delicious, and it's great to have an Honesty Bar on site.

Felt at home, no reason to complain.

We loved the convenient location of this guest house, with St James beach just a short walk away. The beach was perfect for swimming and relaxing, and we even spotted some seals! The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, with a clean and well-equipped bathroom. The staff provided excellent service, always friendly and attentive. The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from. We also enjoyed spending time in the beautiful gardens, and the downstairs pub was a great addition.

Some aspects of the guest house were not up to par. The swimming pool area looked tired and in need of maintenance, and the water in the fountain was unappealing.

This hotel is a must-stay for those looking for a luxurious and historic venue. the elegantly furnished interiors and high-quality furnishings of the room were impressive. the breakfast was exceptional with delicious food that catered to special dietary needs. the outdoor area provided ample sun loungers and beach umbrellas, perfect for unwinding in the sun after a swim in the outdoor swimming pool.

While the sea view was lovely, the slight traffic noise from the nearby road was bothersome at times. Nevertheless, the staff's exceptional service and warm hospitality more than made up for it, creating a truly unforgettable experience.
