We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have the option to open the windows and let in fresh air, especially after staying in stuffy places before. The staff were all very helpful and we were able to check in early, which was a great convenience after a long day of traveling. The location of the hotel is excellent, as it is within walking distance of the castle and not too far from the center of the city. The hotel also had ample parking space and it was nice to have a garden area to enjoy a drink outside.

Great location, close to the city center and within walking distance. The downstairs dining area and pub were comfortable and well-designed. It was nice to have dogs allowed in the bar. The English breakfast was good and the staff serving it were excellent. The ambience in the public area was pleasant, with cozy and warm surroundings. The background music was at the perfect volume.

The room was quite small, but still clean. The shower was lacking shelves for toiletries and a hook or rail for towels.

I stayed at The Kingslodge Inn for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the location was very convenient, with parking available. The room, although small, was perfectly acceptable for my stay. The chamber maid even sorted out the lights in the cupboard when the batteries had gone. The breakfast was outstanding, and the room was comfortable with a good-sized bathroom. The staff was pleasant, helpful, and hardworking throughout my stay. Well done to them!

The staff were friendly and provided good service, ensuring that all our needs were met. The rooms were clean and had good cupboard space for hanging clothes, which was a plus. The blackout curtains were really effective in keeping the room dark, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep.

The Kingslodge Inn had a wonderful atmosphere and a great location. We were particularly impressed with their dog-friendly policy and the doggy menu they offered. The food at the inn was delicious, and the staff were pleasant, helpful, and hardworking. Despite a couple of minor issues, such as the small shower and lack of towel hanging space in the bathroom, our room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this inn for a pleasant stay.

We spent New Year's Eve in Durham and had a good time overall. The complementary drinks upon arrival and midnight toast were a nice touch. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the heart of the city and all the festivities. the staff was friendly and accommodating.

It was very dark and hot, making it difficult to relax. The furniture was arranged oddly, with the desk and chair in a dark corner and the bed blocking the window.

I had a fantastic stay at The Kingslodge Inn! Great value for money, the room was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, being quiet yet still within walking distance to the city center.

The breakfast selection could have been improved with hotter water for tea and thinner slices of bread for toast.

The proximity to Durham Cathedral and Castle entrance was another highlight, just a gentle 15/20-minute walk away. We were able to explore the historical sites with ease. The staff, without exception, were excellent, providing exceptional service throughout our stay.
