Our city break hotel was well-located, only a short walk from the town centre. The room was clean and tidy, and we particularly enjoyed the complimentary tea and coffee in the morning. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep.

Some issues, such as the lack of lighting in the room, and the loud noise from neighboring rooms. We also found the staff to be less than polite and accommodating, which led to a less than ideal atmosphere.

The location of Woodlands Retreat was just what I needed - peaceful and surrounded by nature. The beds were really comfortable, and the showers were spacious and refreshing. The communication with the owners and management was excellent, and the cleaning staff were friendly. I also loved the fact that it was just a short walk from the town center and had a lovely garden area. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a quiet and tranquil stay.

Woodlands Retreat is a gem of a place, offering great value for money. Located in a safe area close to pubs and restaurants, it is the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful Clarens. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every need is met. The rooms are well-equipped with a cupboard fitted with self-catering supplies and a bathroom. In addition, the breakfast provided is delicious and a great start to the day.

All was great, no improvements needed.

Clean, well-equipped rooms with a hairdryer. Friendly hosts and beautiful gardens. Kitchenette was handy. Nice touches like sherry, firewood, and milk provided. Tranquil and relaxing atmosphere.

We were delighted with the location of the hotel, as it was centrally located and close to all the action in town. It was a safe area, with pubs, restaurants, and attractions just a short walk away. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, with beautiful finishings and a stunning view. The staff provided excellent service, attending to our every need and offering helpful advice. The room had all the necessary facilities, such as a kettle, microwave, toaster, and crockery.

The pillows had a slight off smell.
