the size was quite compact, typical for Singapore. The friendly staff made my experience enjoyable, especially Steven, who assisted with transportation. The surrounding area was bustling with local food options, which added to the charm of staying in Geylang.

However, the hotel's location in the red light district was a bit unsettling at times. I felt the need to keep my wits about me when walking around at night. The toilet was very cramped, making showering a challenge. a little awkward, but I managed.

what a disappointment! my room smelled like stale cigarettes and the walls were literally dirty. I expected a complimentary upgrade for my troubles but really just got shoddy service. very cramped space too, it's hard to fathom how small it was. almost gave a good review, but I just couldn’t let this slide.

This hotel is just a short walk from the Arjunied MRT station, making it easy to explore all of Singapore. My daughters loved the nearby eateries, especially the various local delicacies. Plus, I appreciated the clean rooms that were serviced daily.

My wife says that a better shower setup would be great for families.

hotel 81 has a very grand entrance and feels quite new. rooms are squeaky clean with excellent amenities, including a filter water tap and electric kettle. the area has good food options and is safe to walk around. staff are helpful and polite. 🌟👍
