my stay at the mercure exceeded expectations, especially after staying in smaller accommodations in singapore before. the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast had a decent variety! being close to bugis area for food options was a huge plus during this peaceful break.

the air conditioning took too long to cool down.

The classic double rooms are surprisingly small, making it tough for two people—and a large suitcase—to maneuver comfortably. The toilet setup isn’t for everyone, as it’s separated by a clouded sliding door, which could be awkward for some. Also, access to the fire stairs from the pool level is a bit concerning. it requires a staff pass, and if the pool deck is closed, you’re left without an easy escape route. While the location is near Little India and some MRT stations, it’s not the closest to major sightseeing spots, which might be a hassle if you're keen on exploring every corner.

The room was spacious for a short stay, and the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud! Great location near the bus stops for concert-goers, and the rooftop pool was a refreshing escape.

The twin beds were so cozy they practically hugged each other. definitely not ideal for friends on a trip! Plus, if you’re not a fan of morning noises, you might want to invest in earplugs.

Recommend it for a chill stay

I felt at home here, especially with those lovely ladies running the breakfast. I’ll tell ya, every morning was a treat with that breakfast spread, and I made real good use of the rooftop pool – the views were exceptional, made me feel like I was on top of the world.

The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to assist. The included breakfast offered a decent variety, great for starting the day on a high note.

Room space was limited and lacked personal care items. The swimming pool was enjoyable, yet some amenities were basic at best and left me wanting more.

The rooftop pool was a serene escape after exploring the vibrant streets, and the hotel’s efficient breakfast team made each morning feel welcoming. I also loved the convenience of the MRT nearby for easy city explorations.

However, it was odd that the hotel only accepted advance payment, even though I’d already provided my card info. Housekeeping was a miss too. my room wasn't cleaned for two days despite my requests. A loose wall tile and a faulty bidet spray added to my concerns, but thankfully, everything else shone brighter than these hiccups.

This place suits me perfectly! It offers everything I need, including fast Wi-Fi, laundry, 24-hour reception, and a rooftop pool. The staff helped me find great shopping spots on my first visit. I highly recommend it for a romantic escape!
