This smallish boutique-like hotel with large doubles is in a midtown neighborhood with good restaurants and "real" tapis bars, filled with locals not tourists. The front desk staff were very helpful at all hours, and requests were met with friendly responses and assistance. The location is easy walking distance to the action and the airport city bus. As foreign tourists, we appreciated being able to communicate in English with the staff. The breakfast buffet was good, and the hotel is quiet at night.

I had a great stay at Acevi Villarroel. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the city sites and within walking distance of the city center. The room was spacious, very clean, and a great value for the money. The hotel staff were excellent, providing top-notch service from check-in to check-out. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Barcelona and highly recommend this hotel to others. The secure parking option was also a plus.

Great location within the city, close to multiple restaurants and a metro station. The room was spacious and clean, with good facilities such as a free to use safe, TV, and mini fridge. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.

The pool area was a nice sun trap, but the sunbeds were uncomfortable after a while due to rigid plastic material. Additionally, the noise insulation in the rooms was not the best, and I was disturbed by the loud chatter from the cleaners in the communal corridors early in the morning.

This hotel is located in a great spot, just in the downtown but in a quiet and safe neighborhood. The service is amazing with room service, car hire, and tours/ticket assistance available. The rooms are well equipped with in-room air conditioning, a mini-bar, and soundproofed walls. Additionally, the outdoor swimming pool and spa centre are a great way to relax after a day of exploring.

The staff at the reception could be more hospitable, but overall, I highly recommend this place to family and friends.
