Even after we checked out, they allowed us to store our luggage for a few hours. we highly recommend this hostal and would definitely stay there again.

Despite the building being old, it had a nice charm to it, and I particularly enjoyed having a small balcony where I could see the street view and feel closer to the city. The room, although a little small for a couple, was perfect for a single traveler like me. It was very clean, and the bed linens were nice. I had a peaceful stay without any noise disruptions. The front desk lady was very kind and friendly, although she only spoke Spanish.

the room was very clean and the attached bathroom was modern and well-maintained. the central location next to Puerta del Sol was perfect for exploring the city. We felt safe and secure with access to the hostel, and the staff provided us with keys after check-in. the Wi-Fi was reliable, and we were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the bed was. the option to pay by card or cash was convenient, and a towel was provided. the lift to the second-floor apartment was also a bonus. I would definitely recommend Hostal Mayor for a great stay in Madrid.

We had a great stay at Hostal Mayor. the location was excellent, right on Calle Mayor, close to Puerto del Sol and the hop-on hop-off bus stops. the room, although not huge, was clean and modern, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. It was the perfect base for exploring the city. the staff, especially the lovely Spanish lady, were friendly and helpful, despite the language barrier. We would definitely recommend Hostal Mayor and would happily stay there again in the future.

It was very close to a metro station, bars, and restaurants. Plus, it was within walking distance of most city attractions. the room was impeccably clean, and despite being a bit small, the owner kindly offered us a bigger room without us even having to ask. the attentive lady who looked after the place went out of her way to help us with anything we needed. It's an excellent choice if you're looking for an affordable place with great services.
