I stayed at Hotel Mercedes for one night before catching the ferry back to England. The modern and welcoming property had a spacious car park, and I loved that I could help myself to coffee or tea in the reception area. The buffet breakfast had a great variety of options, and the en-suite shower was the best I've seen. The location was convenient, with a nearby garage and restaurants for snacks and meals.

The lack of dining options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. We had to make do with a wine and cheese evening in our room, as there were no restaurants nearby.
