We had an amazing stay at Mate Alicia in with an unbeatable location. the staff, especially Pablo on reception, was incredibly helpful with local recommendations for restaurants, bars, and galleries. the duplex apartment we were upgraded to was fabulous, with a huge terrace and pool overlooking Santa Ana square. the room was well-equipped and the huge comfy bed ensured a comfortable stay. the hotel's central location allowed us to walk to all the main attractions without much effort. Don't hesitate to book!

This hotel is great value for money and offers a fantastic location right in the heart of the city. It is situated on the corner of Plaza Santa Ana, surrounded by interesting streets with plenty of places to eat and drink. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the basic amenities in the rooms are satisfactory. The top floor suite with a terrace is absolutely superb, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon heat.

We were pleasantly surprised by the unique layout of our room at Mate Alicia. The split-level concept, with a living room downstairs and a cozy bedroom upstairs, provided a luxurious and comfortable stay. The highlight was the terrace with a stunning outdoor bath, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring. The hotel's central location allowed us to easily walk to all the major attractions, saving us the hassle of using public transportation. The friendly and attentive staff made our stay even more enjoyable, ensuring we had everything we needed. Although the breakfast area had a quirky sushi restaurant vibe, the breakfast itself was delicious and served until noon, allowing us to sleep in and start the day at our own pace. I highly recommend Mate Alicia for a wonderful stay in Madrid!

There were a few aspects of our stay that were not so great. the bathroom in our room was quite small and cramped, making it difficult for two people to use at the same time.
