The staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful. Carlos on reception was particularly knowledgeable and provided useful advice about local bars and restaurants. The rooms were clean, stylish, and exceeded our expectations. We had our own terrace which was wonderful. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the beach. Reasonably priced, especially before high season. Good-size room with a powerful shower. Had a really good night's sleep. Decent air-con. Excellent coffee in the morning. Good speed wi-fi. Breakfast was very good. Great location to get to the funicular and the beach.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, as it is very close to the beach and provides easy access to the 'old town' past the beaches. Moreover, there are small restaurants and bars in the vicinity, so you don't have to eat where all the tourists are.

The hotel seems a bit outdated and doesn't give a luxurious feel, despite the slightly higher price.

I had a fantastic stay at a hotel near the best beach in this city. The hotel facilities were clean and well-maintained. There was a secure but expensive parking available for guests. Additionally, the location was close to the funicular railway station for Monte Igueldo, providing easy transportation to the top. The breakfast offered at the hotel was incredible, with a nice selection and accommodating different diets. The staff went above and beyond by serving breakfast earlier upon request, allowing me to catch an early train. the hotel provided a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

We would definitely stay at Hotel Ilunion again when we visit San Sebastian.

We had a bad night's sleep with very noisy neighbors in the room next door, but the hotel responded by upgrading us to a much better room on another floor. Check-in was slow with only one desk, person, and computer screen. Despite these issues, the hotel's cleanliness and convenient location to the beach and nearby bars and cafes were a definite plus. we would recommend this hotel.
