I had a wonderful time at this resort. The location was absolutely stunning, with a beautiful river nearby where you could see people washing clothes and kids playing. The natural surroundings were full of exotic plants, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The room, although a bit smaller due to its tent-like setup, had a unique charm that added to the overall experience. The service provided by the owners was exceptional, with delicious home-cooked meals and a warm and friendly staff. the safari organized by the resort was fantastic, with a knowledgeable driver who knew the park inside out and even arranged a breakfast halfway through the tour at a beautiful lodge.

The rooms might be a bit smaller compared to traditional accommodations, but you won't be spending much time inside anyway.

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful retreat surrounded by nature. The cozy mud cottages and comfortable tents offered us a beautiful setting just minutes away from a fantastic safari park. The resort's own safari vehicle and experienced driver made our safari experience truly top-notch. One highlight was the breakfast arranged at a stunning lodge in the park, halfway through our safari. The owner's attention to detail and hospitality were exceptional, and the deliciously home-cooked dinner they served us was a delight. The sound of the nearby river and the mesmerizing sight of fireflies in the night added to the magical ambiance. a highly recommended Sri Lankan venue offering great value.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, clean, and provided a great view of the beautiful garden and wildlife. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a peaceful atmosphere and hammocks to relax in. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing free transportation and organizing a fantastic safari tour for us. The home-cooked Sri Lankan food served here was delicious and one of the highlights of our trip.

my best stay in udawalawe yet! atha resort was a true gem, exceeding all expectations. the private bungalow and stunning bathroom were a treat, and the common grounds with hammocks overlooking the river were idyllic. the owner's kindness and delicious food made the experience even more special. if you have time, definitely relax here before or after your safari!
