recently stayed at Halcyon Mawella and it was truly a gem. from the stunning beachfront location to the meticulously designed interiors, every detail was perfect. the food at the restaurant was top-notch, offering a variety of delicious dishes to enjoy. the attentive staff and thoughtful personal touches really made our stay special. highly recommend for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

I had a fantastic time at this hotel. It is located right on the beach, which was absolutely beautiful. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was delicious and there were many facilities available, such as kayaking and paddleboarding. the hotel provided a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

There were not enough sunbeds available for all the guests, which was sometimes inconvenient.

This hotel is a hidden gem with a beautiful location and great design. the rooms are decorated with attention to detail and the exclusive amenities add to the overall luxurious experience. the beach access is perfect, with sun loungers, beach umbrellas and a picnic area to relax in. the restaurant serves delicious food and the bar/lounge area has great drinks. the service is warm and friendly, making you feel at home.

Although expensive, there are minor issues, like the lack of fresh seafood options on the menu. Everything is well-maintained, cleaned and serviced except for the access road which may give some discomfort.

The remote location was really great for feeling secluded and private. the meals were varied and tasty, and there was a lot to choose from. We also really appreciated the friendly staff, who never said no and provided fantastic service.

We found that there weren't enough sun loungers. Someone else always seemed to have reserved them by the time we tried to use them, so we missed out.

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming villa with a spectacular beach right in front of us. Having the whole beach to ourselves was a dream come true. The interior design was impeccable, the food at the restaurant was delicious, and the staff were incredibly attentive and responsive to our needs. Special thanks to the owner for creating such a wonderful place.

We absolutely loved our stay at this amazing beachfront hotel. The location is beyond amazing, with a freshwater lagoon right next to the property. We enjoyed paddle-boarding and kayaking in the lagoon, as well as swimming in the ocean. The hotel is stylish, with a lush garden and an elegant pool. The food and cocktails were excellent, with a menu that offers traditional Sri Lankan dishes with a twist of different flavors. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. All of the rooms face the ocean, and we loved the option of having a large balcony or a spacious patio. The beach is empty and serene, perfect for lounging under the shade of a palm tree. The service at the hotel put 5-star establishments to shame, and our host Zander was amazing. We also loved the friendly dog named Loki who added to the charm of the place.

We felt completely at home and had no complaints whatsoever.
