Spent xmas at a budget hotel and was pleasantly surprised! Location was perfect, close to town and walking distance to lake and mountains. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending the best places to visit and eat. Rooms were spotless and had everything we needed, including hot water and fast wifi. Also loved the community feel of the place, great for families with children.

Otherwise, had a great time and would definitely recommend it for budget-conscious travelers looking for a comfortable stay in a convenient location.

Friendly staff, helped us buy train tickets. Delicious breakfast with bread, eggs, fruit, yogurt, and coffee. Good location, 10min walk to city center. Cozy room with old-fashioned decor, but had everything we needed, including tea and coffee. Hot water shower with separate toilet. Helpful in storing our bags after checkout. Exceptionally cozy place to stay with a homely atmosphere. Great service and kind family ownership. Enjoyed breakfast on sunny terrace. Owner helped organize transfer to Horton Plains. Would love to visit again in the future.
