I had a fantastic stay at a charming homestay in Ella. the lady at the hotel was incredible, accommodating our breakfast timings and making sure we were well taken care of. She even accepted our Indian rupees when we couldn't withdraw money from the cash machine. the location was great, and we enjoyed a delicious and generous breakfast every morning. the highlight of our trip was a guided day trip to Diyaluma Falls, arranged by our host for a reasonable price. the hospitality was truly exceptional.

Best breakfast ever! the portions were huge and absolutely delicious. the host was friendly and welcoming, always ready to accommodate any special requests. the location was convenient, just a short walk from the main street. Plus, the beds were really comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

Worst communication and directions. the address provided was incorrect, making it almost impossible to find the place.

We had a wonderful stay at Elegant Home Stay. the owner, always smiling, made us feel welcome and even served us a delicious early breakfast on our last day. the view may have been obstructed by nearby construction, but the location is still great - just minutes away from Little Adam's Peak and Nine Arche Bridge. the staff was friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed amenities like warm water and a laundry service. Plus, the value for money is excellent with the low price.

Not one thing 🚫

The location of this homestay was perfect - centrally located and close to restaurants and attractions like Little Adam's Peak. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, and the breakfast provided was delicious. The room itself was comfortable and clean, with a good shower and plenty of natural light. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the most adorable dog and her puppies upon arrival!

There were a couple of downsides to my stay. The room for four people was quite small and lacked a proper table or shelf for our belongings.

The owner was incredibly friendly and provided us with a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. the property was clean and well-maintained. It had a great location, just a short walk away from the center of Ella where we found amazing restaurants. the owner's son also owned a tuk-tuk, which was convenient for exploring nearby places such as Little Adam's Peak. it was the best stay we had during our travels in Sri Lanka.

We couldn't stay longer. 😞

For the price we paid, we got excellent value. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The location was great, close to town but away from the noise. The staff, especially the lovely lady who was our host, were helpful, well-organized, and always had a smile on their faces.

Breakfast choices could have been more diverse.

We had an amazing stay at a place in Ella. the owners were so helpful and fair, making us feel right at home. the guesthouse was tidy and in a great location with a beautiful view of Ella Rock from the balcony. the breakfast provided by the owners was absolutely delicious and plentiful. We were even able to take leftovers as snacks for our day trips. the lady in charge was a great host and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Thank you for everything!

Not easy to find 📍

If you're looking for a great place to stay on a hill, this is it. The location is perfect for exploring the center of town and enjoying the restaurant strip. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, with hot water and wifi. Plus, the friendly owner serves a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast that will keep you fueled for the day. With a short walk to 9 arch bridge and mini Adam's peak base, you'll have plenty of nearby sights to explore.

There may be some noise from nearby construction in the morning.

amazing stay! exceeded my expectations in every way. had a previous stay in ella but this was by far the best. huge windows, comfy beds, and a delicious breakfast packed for us when we had to leave early. definitely coming back!
