Unexpected moments of warm hospitality

The moment I checked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and an unexpected room upgrade. The staff were genuinely lovely and attentive, ensuring all my needs were met during my stay. Breakfast was a delightful treat with swans gliding by outside, and even a special Sri Lankan meal organized just for me!

I recently stayed for 2 nights in the Hilton Deluxe King Room, and I was really impressed. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of options that catered to every taste. The staff were attentive and always willing to help. The room was comfortable despite being a bit dated, and I especially appreciated the nice lounging areas available throughout the hotel. Additionally, the pool area was lovely, just a short walk over a covered bridge, making it an ideal retreat during the day.

We experienced excellent customer service, and the cleanliness of our room was top-notch. The view from our room overlooking the old Parliament building was stunning, and we appreciated the variety of dining options available, especially the Sri Lankan dishes that catered to our tastes.

One downside was the limited access to the pool area, which involved crossing a street.

during my stay in colombo, i was impressed by the elegant ambience and the quality of service at hilton. the diverse buffet options were exceptional, especially the themed restaurants that I loved. my room had amazing sea and city views, which totally exceeded my expectations for a city holiday.

The staff were just amazing! They really went the extra mile making my missus and I feel right at home. Every brekkie was a lekker spread, and they even went out of their way to cater for special dietary needs. Felt super safe with all the security around, but still had access to great views!

The pool setup was a bit of a hassle, had to cross the street, which wasn't ideal at all.

The exhaust fan didn't do its job. by the time I got out of the shower, I'd have better luck seeing through steam-covered mirrors!!! The carpets were ancient and need a thorough update!!! The room situation felt much like a game of chance. depending on when you check in, you could face noise disturbances from a nightclub, or worse — be stuck in an outdated room without soundproofing!!!
