mcleod-inn was even better than last time in kandy! stunning lake views, friendly english family, and delicious breakfast on the terrace. the host was welcoming and helpful, providing tips and arranging transportation. the room and bathroom were nice and the place was newly renovated and clean.

Bathroom was small.

I recently stayed at a guesthouse in a beautiful town. The room was spotless, with hot water in the bathroom. The view of the town from the terrace was amazing, and they even had comfy chairs to enjoy it from. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, going above and beyond to assist us during our stay. We even took a picture with them at the end, which we rarely do. It was a quiet place, and we had a great night's sleep. I highly recommend this place.

I got great value for my money at Mcleod-Inn. The room was clean, had AC, and had a lovely view of the lake and town. The location was convenient, with a quick walk to the lake and temple. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

Breakfast option could have been improved with more variety.

I absolutely loved my stay at this inn. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, even arranging a driver for us to visit the Buddha caves in Dambulla. The driver, Suresh, was exceptional and spoke good English. The breakfast at the inn was delicious, and they even offered to make dinner for us. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the view from the balcony was therapeutic. The location was convenient, with a 10-15 minute walk to Kandy and easy access to tuk-tuks for the journey back up. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Kandy.

The lake view was stunning, and the terrace restaurant provided an amazing view of Kandy. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, arranging transportation and answering all our questions. Despite the double rooms being slightly small, they were still acceptable. It was a great place for single travelers to meet others, and the location was conveniently close to the city center.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk downhill into town and very close to attractions like the temple of the tooth or Kandyan dancing show. The room was comfortable and clean, with a nice touch of providing a kettle with coffee/tea. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast had a good variety of western foods.

The Wi-Fi signal did not reach the rooms, but it was easily accessible in the entrance area near the router.

As trekkers and a group of friends, we loved the amazing view over Kandy from our bedroom at the hotel. The location was great, with easy access to the Temple of the Tooth and the heart of the town. The couple who run the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome with their huge smiles. They even helped us book a table at Sharon Inn nearby, known for its fantastic food. Additionally, they organized a reliable and affordable driver for our next destination. Highly recommend!

We recently celebrated Christmas at this hotel and we had a fantastic time! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They were always available to assist with any requests and even helped us arrange transportation and suggested nearby attractions. The room was spotlessly clean and the balcony offered a breathtaking view of the surrounding area. It was the perfect place to relax with a drink in hand and enjoy the peaceful ambiance.

That some bugs managed to get into our bathroom through an open window. However, this was easily resolved by keeping the bathroom door shut at night to prevent mosquitoes from entering.
