The location of the hotel is perfect for those who want to be slightly away from the busy areas. It is situated straight down the valley, providing a serene atmosphere and incredible views. it is away from the bars in town, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The rooms are spacious with a nice balcony, giving guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The service is friendly and attentive, going above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast, prepared by the host, is delicious and served with a beautiful view.

The hotel is still undergoing construction, which can be a bit distracting at times.

During my stay at Monarch, the host went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. When I arrived, he personally delivered tea to my room and helped me arrange a tuk tuk for an early morning hike to little Adams Peak. He even provided free transportation from the train station. His kindness and attentiveness made my experience truly exceptional.Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great mountain views from the rooftop and delicious breakfast. the host was friendly and informative, helping us organize a moped rental and offering lots of tips on local sights and restaurants. Plus, the hotel was conveniently located within walking distance of the town center and train line.

Our New Year's stay was marred by ongoing construction, which meant that parts of the hotel were still unfinished and lacked basic amenities like a reception area. our room was poorly maintained with a lingering smell in the bathroom and lots of ants in the bed and bathroom.
