we stayed at Taru Villas Maia for our honeymoon and it was truly special. from the surprise candlelit dinner by the pool to the outstanding 5-course fine dining dinners, every moment was like a fairytale. the staff made us feel like royalty, with warm welcomes and impeccable service. the property's private and beautiful layout, along with the friendly staff, made it feel like home. we will cherish the memories forever.

It felt more like vacationing in a palace surrounded by friends rather than in a hotel. Cons: Minor plumbing issue with the bathtub.

The database was user-friendly and had a wide range of search filters, making it easy to find relevant information quickly. the room with the outdoor terrace was pristine and even better than what we had seen in the photos. the cleanliness and pleasant scent of the room added to the overall comfortable stay.

The Wi-Fi connection in the database was a bit slow at times, making it slightly inconvenient for browsing.

The highlight of our stay was the exquisite 5-course dinners, which were the best meals we had during our entire trip to Sri Lanka. The property is also conveniently located for exploring nearby attractions like Polonnaruwa and Sigiriyi. I highly recommend Taru Villas Maia for a truly special and luxurious experience.

If we had to be picky, the lack of a gym/spa facilities was a minor issue. this was more than compensated for by the stunning garden area and picnic area/tables where we relaxed and enjoyed the view.

The hotel was conveniently located near our business meetings. the staff were very helpful and attentive, and they even upgraded our room which was a nice surprise. the food was also a standout feature, with a great variety of dishes to choose from and everything we tried was delicious!

The only negative thing we experienced was the lack of gym or spa facilities, which would have been a bonus. the noise levels in some areas of the hotel were a bit distracting, but nothing too disruptive.

The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to popular attractions like Polonnaruwa, Sigiriyi, Dambulla, and Anuradhapura. The service provided by the staff is exceptional, with the Dining Manager Dipal standing out for his friendly demeanor and great conversations. The rooms are spacious, clean, and contemporary, offering a comfortable and luxurious stay. The restaurant serves delicious food, including their homemade Banana Granola and curd, coconut ice cream, and a variety of Sri Lankan curries.

The hotel does not have a central place to sit, which gives it a somewhat soulless feel.
