A lovely place to stay

I recently stayed at this beautiful resort with my partner for a romantic getaway. Our room had a stunning view of the ocean from the balcony and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The pool area was heavenly, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The food at the restaurant was excellent, with a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff were friendly and always willing to assist. I had a wonderful time at the Fortress Resort & Spa and would highly recommend it to others.

We recently stayed at the Fortress Resort & Spa and were blown away by the outstanding service and attention to detail. the courteous staff made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. Our butler went above and beyond to fulfill our requests and make our stay memorable. the room was not only spacious and luxurious, but also offered breathtaking views of the picturesque surroundings. the food, although with limited choices, was superbly made and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. We were particularly impressed by the beautiful garden setting and the supersized pool, perfect for a relaxing getaway.

We stayed at The Fortress Resort & Spa for a week-long vacation and had an amazing experience. The ocean view rooms with balconies were fantastic, and being on the ground level made it easy to access the pool. The staff were incredibly hospitable and experienced, providing top-notch service. The food was high quality, and the cocktails were fantastic. The spa was well worth it and highly recommended. The hotel is conveniently located next to an excellent snorkeling spot, and we felt safe leaving our belongings within the property itself.

Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The resort is located on a beautiful sandy beach, providing easy access to the ocean. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with stunning views of the sea. The bathroom is equipped with two sinks and a bath, adding convenience to the stay. The service is friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast offers a variety of options. The facilities, including a big outdoor pool and a luxurious spa, ensure a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Swimming in the sea can be dangerous due to the strong undertow.

This hotel is an absolute luxury gem, with exclusive amenities that fulfilled all our expectations. the service was impeccable, and the Spa & wellness center with a sauna, full body massage, and beauty treatments was exceptional. the outdoor swimming pool with beach access and sun loungers was marvelous, and the garden area with live entertainment was delightful. The room advantages were outstanding, and the restaurant with a poolside snack bar and bar/lounge area had delicious dinner and special diet menus. Cons: the only minor issue we experienced was the packed lunches, which were a bit uninspired compared to the rest of our perfect stay at this hotel. Nonetheless, this is only a small detail that didn't impact the overall amazing experience we had.

Enormous gates, fabulous pool, stunning ocean view, attentive staff, good food.

Nothing it was perfect.

Our recent holiday was amazing! We loved the spacious and comfortable rooms with great amenities, especially the large, soft, and very comfortable bed. the buffet had a good selection of delicious food, and we enjoyed spending time walking around the ample garden space. the infinity pool was a plus and direct access to the beach was perfect for beach strolls. we appreciated the child-friendly service and provision of late check-out facility since we traveled with a small baby.

Our coffee machine wasn't working, and it was never fixed despite our request. Finally, we had to take a 10km tuk-tuk or taxi ride to get close to Galle, which was a bit far if we wanted to shop around.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The view of the ocean was breathtaking and the staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. The hotel facilities were top-notch and the cleanliness was exceptional. The location was ideal, not far from Galle but away from the crowds of other operators. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast they offered.
