Great pool, friendly staff, organized Safari tour, bike rental, good location for visiting ruins, clean rooms.

Nothing, it was perfect.

We had an amazing stay at this small resort-style hotel nestled amongst the Sri Lankan rice paddy's. the family-owned and run Tishan Holiday Resort, along with their friendly and helpful English-speaking son, provided excellent customer service throughout our visit. the spacious and comfortable room, complete with good AC, hot water, and mosquito nets, made us feel right at home. the property itself was well-maintained, with a great pool area, sun loungers, and hammocks. the buffet Sri Lankan dinner was delicious and worth every penny. we highly recommend this inexpensive and customer-oriented place for foreigners.

During my New Year’s stay, the room was sparkling clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. the pool was well-maintained and provided the perfect opportunity to cool off after a day of exploring. the location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions. I also enjoyed the tasty and affordable food offered by the hotel.

The room could use some updating. the furnishings and decorations were outdated and some aspects of the room were in need of repair.

I had an amazing time at this resort. the property is well located, just a few kilometers from the ruins. the highlight for me was the big and beautifully maintained garden, as well as the swimming pool with stunning views of the rice fields. the service was outstanding, with the family who runs the place treating me like a part of their own family. They went above and beyond to help me, even taking me to the pharmacy when I was sick. the food was the best I had in Sri Lanka, both for breakfast and dinner. This place is definitely a must-visit!
