We had an amazing stay at Alpine Base Hostel! Johnny, the owner, went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even giving us a celebratory shot in his basement bar. He took the time to mark down hiking and sightseeing suggestions on a map for us, which was a cool touch. The location of the hostel is also fantastic, just a two-minute walk from the closest bus stop to the heart of Lauterbrunnen. The view of the Staubbach falls from the hostel is breathtaking. The rooms, bathrooms, and showers were all clean, and we loved having access to washer/dryers. The recreation activities like ping pong, pool table, and football table were a fun way to relax and meet new people. this stay provided great hospitality, convenience, and value for money. We highly recommend it!

The view from our balcony was absolutely stunning, with a picturesque backdrop of the surrounding mountains. The comfortable bed provided a cozy and relaxing environment for a romantic escape. the staff were friendly and accommodating, allowing us to leave our luggage during the day before check-in.

The shared bathrooms, which were advertised as private, were located two floors down in the basement, inconveniencing guests. the noise from the outdoor party area below our room made it difficult to sleep, as the festivities continued until late in the evening.

I had the most amazing stay at this hostel. The location was surrounded by beautiful falls, a river, and snow-capped mountains, which made for a breathtaking setting. The owner, Johnny, was incredibly friendly and attentive. We stayed in a room with an ensuite bathroom, and we also had access to a spacious kitchen where we could cook our meals. I especially appreciated that Johnny gave us a ride to the train station during check-out so my mother didn't have to walk. The atmosphere at the hostel was welcoming and fun, without being too wild or noisy. The backyard had a lovely view of the mountains and countryside, and there was even a fireplace where we could barbecue or hang out with other guests. I would highly recommend Alpine Base Hostel for anyone visiting Lauterbrunnen.

We had a great time at this place. The accommodation was basic but fine, with a comfortable bedroom and en-suite. Our host was very helpful and friendly. The hostel had nice games and braai facilities. The check-in process was easy, with everything ready for us ahead of time. The room had everything we needed, and the bed, pillow, and duvet were super comfy. The toilets and shower were clean. The kitchen was spacious and well-equipped for cooking. The highlight was the mind-blowing view from the common garden space, where we could socialize with other guests, play games, and enjoy drinks. we had an awesome experience and will definitely come back.

The facility was unique and interesting with a lot of different things to do. We loved the sense of community and meeting other guests. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook our own meals. The location was absolutely beautiful, with stunning views of the surrounding valley. It was also conveniently located within walking distance of the town.

The facilities were bare bones, with a shower in the basement and a requirement to bring your own towel or pay for one. The cleanliness of the refrigerator and kitchen floors could be improved.
