I recently stayed at the Basic Rooms in Grindelwald for a week-long vacation. The location was perfect, just a short 5-minute walk from Grindelwald train station. The staff at Basic Rooms were exceptionally friendly and always went out of their way to help with any questions or needs. The breakfast provided a simple but satisfying spread, including bread, croissants, a variety of cheese and ham, yoghurt. Additionally, guests receive a Grindelwald guest card, which offers free bus rides and great discounts on local attractions.

I do recommend this hotel.

The location is beautiful, just a 5-minute walk from Bahnhof, and the view from my window was scenic. The rooms were clean and the shared bathrooms were also well-maintained. The staff, especially Daniel, were very helpful in planning my trip around Grindelwald. The breakfast was great, with must-try bread and croissants. a good deal for last-minute planners like me.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the beautiful views from the hotel, which were breathtaking. the location was perfect, just a short walk from the train station and the main market. the buffet breakfast offered a good variety of options and was satisfying.

The room was a bit stuffy, and despite opening the window at night, there was some noise until later in the evening. Additionally, the size of the room without a private bathroom was quite small considering the price.

We had a fantastic stay at a well-located lodge with friendly staff and clean facilities. The shared shower room was always kept clean and the breakfast buffet had a good variety of options. We also appreciated the option for take-out at a more affordable price than other places. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

One drawback was the limited availability of washer and dryer facilities, with only one for the entire building. Additionally, while the shared bathroom on the second floor was renovated and comfortable, the one on the first floor could use some improvements in terms of sound isolation.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff, especially Derina, were incredibly helpful and friendly. They patiently answered all my questions and provided great suggestions for food and excursions. The hotel's environment was exceptional and the breakfast was delicious. The shared bathroom was surprisingly new and clean, and I had a very comfortable stay in the small room with two single beds.

I was in Grindelwald for a few days and the location couldn't have been better. The views from the hotel were stunning, and I enjoyed long walks in the beautiful surrounding area. Great value for the money! The room at this hotel was nice, clean, and modernized. The location was perfect, close to the train station and away from the city center for a quieter stay.
