We had an amazing stay at a hotel right on the river in the heart of the city. the rooms were cozy and had fantastic views of the river and Mt Pilatus. the staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. the hotel was impeccably clean and well-maintained. the little touches like the universal travel plug adapter and the "Good Night" chocolate made us feel welcome. the restaurant downstairs offered a delicious menu and the service was exceptional. We would absolutely stay at Hotel Des Balances again.

Excellent location in the Historic Center with river view. Well-equipped room with amenities, including multi-language TV. Good WiFi and valet services available. Central to attractions. Friendly and helpful staff, accommodating pets. Resturant serves excellent food.

The breakfast buffet was amazing and sitting along the river in the morning was a great way to start the day. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed, including a great fan. The dinner recommendation was also very good. The hotel had a beautiful and spacious room with a lovely view. The bed was comfortable and the toiletries provided by L’Occitane were a nice touch. We also appreciated the complimentary chocolate and water, as well as the Nespresso machine in the room with complimentary capsules. The location was very good, and we enjoyed the nice view from our room balcony. The staff was friendly and the prosecco welcome drink at the hotel restaurant was a nice touch.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at a charming hotel on the river. Our junior suite had a balcony with a breathtaking view of the chapel bridge. We could easily walk to the lion monument, Lake Lucerne, and plenty of riverside restaurants. Plus, it was so convenient to walk from the train station to the hotel. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, complete with a jacuzzi tub and a cosy sitting area. We loved the romantic atmosphere. Despite a minor issue with the air conditioning, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel for its ideal location, beautiful room selection, and delightful atmosphere. We had a truly wonderful time, and we can't wait to come back! I'll definitely be recommending this hotel.

The room I stayed in was absolutely incredible, with a super comfy bed and a jacuzzi bath that was out of this world. The location was perfect, just a short walk away from shops and restaurants. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of a note and some snacks left in my room on my last day. Truly an unforgettable experience!

The location of the hotel was great, close to the train station and within walking distance to all the major attractions. the views from the hotel were absolutely stunning, especially if you book a room overlooking the river. the staff were friendly and welcoming, providing a complimentary welcome drink and a box of chocolates.

I was disappointed with my room, as I had booked a City View room but all I could see was the wall of the building next door. Additionally, my room was located near the restaurant kitchen and I constantly had to endure the strong smell of food whenever I entered or left my room.

That the air in the room was quite dry, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep. It would have been better if the air was more humidified.

The hotel had excellent customer service, with attentive and friendly staff always ready to help. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for a couple of nights. The location was superb, right by the river and close to everything, including the most divine chocolate! We also enjoyed the hotel facilities, such as the piano bar and the breakfast options.
