I stayed at Hotel Marthof for a few days on a business trip. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city. The rooms are beautifully designed and spotlessly clean. The fitness center and wellness area are top-notch, with a steam room and sauna that stay open until 10pm. The bar serves delicious food until 11pm and the staff are friendly and informative. The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious and the mini-bar was well-stocked. The 5th-floor veranda is a great place to relax. The hotel also has multilingual staff, which was a bonus.

During my recent stay at Hotel Marthof, I was blown away by the impeccable service and attention to detail. The location was simply perfect, right by the tram, making it easy to explore the city. Despite some minor inconveniences, like the lack of practicality in the rain shower and the steep entrance, the overall experience was outstanding. I especially appreciated the helpful and friendly staff, who went above and beyond to assist us when our luggage was lost. The on-site restaurant offered a wonderful dining experience and the breakfast selections were amazing, with a great variety to choose from. The hotel even arranged for a taxi when we needed to get to our cruiseboat. I highly recommend Hotel Marthof for its perfect location, comfortable rooms, and exceptional service.

Hotel with a fitness centre that I didn't use because I didn't want to ruin my perfect physique. The spa centre was good, but I didn't have time for pampering.

Too many light switches, who needs that? And the shower temperature ranged from boiling to steaming, perfect for seasoning lobsters.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Basel. The location in the old city was terrific, with easy access to transportation and within walking distance of popular attractions like the Christmas market. The staff were very helpful, especially with luggage, and the rooms were airy, spacious, and very comfortable. The recently refurbished hotel oozed quality and style, with excellent facilities. The restaurant, popular with locals, served a sensible menu and offered a wonderful breakfast selection. the staff were just lovely.

Our 6th wedding anniversary celebration at Marthof was incredible. The room was beautifully decorated with a bottle of Prosecco waiting for us. The breakfast was excellent, and the rooftop lounge had a romantic view. Despite the tram noise, we had a memorable stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect for exploring the city. It is right in the centre, close to all trams for the train stations, and within walking distance to some landmarks in Basel. The room was spacious and comfortable, with beautiful interior design and comfy beds. The staff was professional and helpful, always going above and beyond to assist us. The breakfast offered a good selection of food, and the restaurant on the corner of the square was great. The bathroom had top-notch body and hair products by Molton Brown, adding a touch of luxury to our stay.

The noise level was unbearable. I could hear everything happening in the adjoining rooms and the hallway.

We stayed at this venue recently and loved it! The location is amazing right on the market square and close to Bohemia restaurant and the Christmas market. The room was luxurious and came with great amenities like tea and coffee facilities, mini-bar, and flat-screen TV. The staff were really helpful, offering us a welcome drink and giving us recommendations for things to do in the city.
