This hotel, situated in Lugano centre and next to the lake, offers great value for money. We particularly enjoyed the comfortable lounge bar and the lovely breakfast spread that was available until 11:30. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the basic amenities in our room met our needs. The hotel itself was stylish and the rooms were classically decorated and moderate in size. The balcony in our room provided amazing views of the lake, making our stay truly enjoyable.

Everything was ok and there was nothing that needed improvement.

The location was perfect, close to all the attractions we wanted to visit. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located right in the center, behind what looked to be a pedestrian area leading to the cathedral in the old city. With its great views of the lake, it's a picturesque spot to relax and unwind. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The rooms, although a bit basic, were clean and the en suite facilities were good. We also appreciated the attention to detail, with gluten-free options available for breakfast and soy milk provided when requested.

We had a good complimentary breakfast at the hotel and appreciated the free Wi-Fi. the location was perfect, as it was only a short walk to the lake and local attractions. We also enjoyed the beautiful view from the hotel room, especially during the stunning sunsets.

Although the hotel had some nice aspects, the room was quite small and outdated. We also found the lack of outlets inconvenient for our electronic devices.

Felt cozy and nothing was too much trouble

We had an amazing stay at a hotel in a very central location, by the lake and near the bus station. The hotel had a beautiful garden and a refreshing pool. Our room was spacious and quiet, with a charming old vibe. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of hot and cold options, including plenty of tasty fruits. The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and even accommodated our early check-in request. We were also upgraded to a breathtaking lake view room. we couldn't have asked for a better experience at Au Lac Historic Lakeside Hotel.
