We had a delightful stay at a budget-friendly hotel located right on the lake in Gunten. The hotel's exceptional location allowed us easy access to the boat terminal, making it convenient to explore other charming villages around the lake. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, offering beautiful views of the lake and nearby mountains. The staff was attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout our stay. The breakfast was satisfying, with a good selection of dishes to choose from. The spa facilities, including saunas and direct lake access, were a special bonus for relaxation.

The hotel lacked air conditioning, which made it necessary for us to open the door for airflow during our visit.

This hotel is a hidden gem that offers incredible value for money. Situated right on the lake in Gunten, the location is absolutely breathtaking. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with a little balcony that offers stunning views of the area. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the attention to detail throughout the hotel is impeccable. The breakfast, with its prepared eggs, is simply delicious.

All was perfect, couldn't ask for more.

The location of Parkhotel Gunten - Beach & Spa by Lake Thun is absolutely idyllic. The well-kept gardens emitting the lovely scent of lavender create a truly therapeutic atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer a breathtaking view of the lake. It's worth opting for a lake view room as the scenery is simply magnificent. The hotel also provides excellent spa and massage facilities. Having coffee in the evening by the lake in the beautiful gardens was a delightful experience. The breakfast buffet was good, although hot breakfast items needed to be ordered separately.

One unfortunate incident occurred during our stay when a road accident caused the road closure for miles around. This left us stranded halfway up a mountain late at night with no means of returning to the hotel.
