I recently had the pleasure of staying at a luxurious 4-star hotel in Zermatt, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. This place is superbly located, just minutes away from the center of town, yet tucked away in a quiet spot across the river. It provided the perfect balance of being close to public transportation, restaurants, and shops, while still maintaining a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms here are far more spacious than others I've stayed in, and the restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience. The staff, from the reception to the restaurant to the chambermaids, were all incredibly helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.

The rooms with Matterhorn view were incredible, creating a beautiful ambiance with wooden walls and ceilings. The breakfast at Julen was hearty and delicious, with a variety of Swiss cheeses and local specialties. The service was warm, friendly, and generous, making us feel well taken care of. The hotel's location was convenient, being only a short walk from the Bahnhof and close to all the sights and hiking routes.

The location of this hotel is excellent, with lovely views from the rooms, and it's close to the river so ideal for a short early morning walk to watch the sunrise. The rooms are perfect for couples and exactly what you need after a day on the trails. Although a bit outdated, this place is undergoing a renovation at the end of August.

Service was mostly absent from the staff but they could on several occasions be seen outside our table window smoking heavily.

We stayed at the Tradition Julen hotel for 9 days and it was the best hotel we stayed in during our month-long trip through Europe. The service was extremely great, with helpful and kind staff. The lamb restaurant is worth trying and the hotel is ideal for families. The owner personally delivered warm milk to our room for our child and was genuinely happy to do so. The location is fabulous, with a balcony that offers a view of the Matterhorn. The buffet and continental breakfast included in our tariff were well presented. The check-in staff provided great service and we were even picked up from the train station. Afternoon tea was provided free of charge, and the hotel has a spa and pool area. Our room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and soft pillows. The bar fridge contents were included in our tariff and were topped up daily. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely choose this hotel again if we're ever back in Zermatt.

The location is centrally located with rooms overlooking the Matterhorn. Excellent daily breakfast and quiet bar with perfect service. Comfortable beds and free mini bar with espresso machine included. Paul, the owner, is present and accommodating.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The cleanliness was top-notch, and the hotel facilities were amazing. The location in Zermatt was perfect, as I could walk everywhere and be right in the heart of the action. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Special shoutouts to Veronika and Aline at the front desk for their excellent service, as well as the breakfast personnel for making each morning enjoyable. The restaurant under the Matterhorn was a highlight, with some of the best food I've ever tasted. this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way.

My experience at the hotel during Christmas was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. the hotel seemed to be overcrowded with guests, leading to long waits for breakfast and a noisy dining area.

The value for money was excellent, with delightful rooms fully panelled in pine, giving a cosy and quaint feel. The location was great, close to ski lifts and in town. The staff were friendly and some of the loveliest I've ever come across, with the family making a point of being around and saying hello.

The only thing that could make the breakfast even better would be to offer a wider variety of food options in the morning.
