I recently stayed at a charming hotel in Zanzibar for a relaxing getaway. The staff at Blue Oyster were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of comfortable sitting areas to enjoy. The food and drink prices were reasonable, and they even had a better wine selection than most hotels in the area. The rooms were spacious and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including a mosquito net and a good shower. The private beach area was perfect for sunbathing and offered a stunning view of the sea. I had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Blue Oyster Hotel in Jambiani exceeded all expectations. Friendly and helpful staff, refreshing sea breeze in the room, partial sea views, and a serene outlook over the central park. Good quality and plentiful food, impressive cleanliness, and prompt service from reception staff. Plenty of sunbeds, elevated to minimize interruptions, and a commitment to beach cleanliness and sustainability.

The beach was on fleek, perfect for chillaxing and taking Insta-worthy pics. The rooms were dope, especially the hammocks with ocean views. The staff were super friendly, always down for a banter. The highlight was the Spice Tour and cooking class - we cooked up a storm and tasted legit Zanzibari flavors. Totally lit!

The only thing we wished for was a better party scene at the hotel. We wanted to turn up and meet more young people like us.

The wifi in our room didn't work well, but it was mostly functional on the patio and in the main house. The lack of noise insulation was a minor issue, as occasional noisy guests disturbed the peace.

While the hotel overall was wonderful, there were a few minor drawbacks. the access road to the hotel had some potholes, but that's pretty normal for the area.

Being in such a wonderful place made it so hard to leave!

During my Christmas stay, I absolutely loved the stunning views of the ocean from the hotel. the beach was just a few steps away, making it convenient to go for a swim or take a relaxing walk along the shore.

It was extremely slow and constantly disconnecting, which made it difficult to stay connected or use the internet for any purpose. I hope they improve the WiFi connection in the future to enhance the overall guest experience.

The staff were amazing and the food was delicious. The hotel had a cozy family feel and offered nice bicycles for rent. We had a great time cycling along the beach in low tide. The location was perfect, close to restaurants and just a short walk from the beach. We also enjoyed the peace and quiet, it was a very relaxing place to stay.

That there was no swimming pool and swimming in the sea was only possible at high tide. However, considering all the other positive aspects of our stay, it was not a major issue.

The hotel was located right on the stunning Jambiani beach, allowing me to enjoy the tranquil sound of the waves and the magnificent view of the Indian Ocean from my room. The private beach area was simply perfect, offering an uninterrupted view of the sea and providing a peaceful spot to relax throughout the day. At night, the beach transformed into a magical place with the tide coming in. It truly felt like paradise on earth!

I must admit that there was one small issue with the bathroom. The water temperature was a bit inconsistent, requiring some adjustments to get it just right.
