Great value for money and friendly staff. the hotel had a nice local style and a rooftop observation deck. the breakfast served in the garden was a lovely touch.

The room was smaller than expected and not suitable for two people with suitcases. the toilet in the room was not separated at the ceiling, which was inconvenient.

The hotel is conveniently located right in the middle of the little alleyways in Stone Town, making it easy to get to all the main tourist sites. It is also close to the local food market, allowing guests to experience the authentic flavors of the area. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious, providing a comfortable stay. The breakfast spread was outstanding, offering a variety of delicious options. Additionally, the staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience for guests.

The hotel lacked a strong WiFi connection, which could be inconvenient for guests needing to stay connected during their stay.

The building was beautifully furnished, giving us a taste of the local culture. the rooms had a lovely Moroccan-inspired aesthetic, which perfectly suited the historical dimensions of the building. the hotel's location in the heart of the old town allowed us to easily explore and get lost in the charming streets. the rooftop restaurant offered a delightful breakfast with a stunning view. We also enjoyed the cozy bar area for evening drinks.

As black customers, we felt discriminated against as we were served after white customers who arrived later. the food we were served was cold and, even after requesting it to be reheated, it came back worse.

The rooms at Shaba Boutique were absolutely stunning, with beautiful wooden ceilings and cozy four-poster beds. The hotel provided complimentary tea, coffee, and water throughout the day, which was a nice touch. The staff, especially the lovely Bianca, were incredibly kind and even prepared the fruit I brought back for me. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the design of the rooms was cool. Additionally, the location was perfect, just a two-minute safe walk from the center of Stonetown, the beach, and the boat to Prison Island.

Our room didn't have enough fresh air, which made it difficult for my mother to sleep due to the "humid" smell. Furthermore, one of the hotel employees initially seemed helpful and offered to guide us at the market, but it turned out he just wanted to make money from our naivety.

We absolutely loved staying here! The location was fantastic - right in the heart of the city center, close to all the main attractions. The service was exceptional - the housekeeping was on point, and the staff were absolutely incredible. They were always helpful and friendly, and made us feel right at home. We also appreciated the airport shuttle service, which made getting here a breeze. The room itself was perfect - air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, a comfortable sitting area, and an am/fm alarm clock.

In addition, the dining options were top-notch. The breakfast was delicious - fresh fruits, eggs, toast, crepes, honey.

Had a fun thanksgiving vacation, complementary breakfast and free Wi-Fi were a huge plus. Also loved the central location and how close it was to the beach.

Rooms were extremely dusty, probably hadn't been cleaned in a while. Windows were dirty and the overall cleanliness was questionable.

The room was amazing and unique, with well-cured details and ornaments from around the world. The owner and his wife were extremely helpful, arranging airport pick-up and assisting with our travel plans. The breakfast was superb with a wide variety of food.

We couldn't resist going back for seconds! The friendly and helpful staff added to the overall enjoyment of our stay. The comfortable and clean rooms, complete with efficient air conditioning, provided the perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. Although the streets in Zanzibar can be a bit challenging to navigate, the shop owners were always ready to assist with directions. It was all part of the adventure! I highly recommend Shaba Boutique for a delightful and memorable stay in Zanzibar.
