I stayed at Mad Monkey for a week with my boyfriend and it was the perfect location for exploring Khao San Road. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day and the self-controlled air conditioning was a plus. The beds were comfortable and the hostel had a great vibe, thanks to the welcoming staff, especially Bish and Jess. They made it easy to make friends and the hostel organized fun activities every day. The swimming pool was a great place to chill out. Yanisa was so much fun to be around and really blended in with the travelers. the activities, like the pub tour and game nights, were a lot of fun. the hostel is also in a fantastic location, close enough to walk to Khao San but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. It's also near the river, which is perfect for exploring the fort and trying out different restaurants. the private bathroom in the rooms is a big plus compared to other hostels in the area.
