Konak Hotel Kaleici is in a great location, close to all the happening places yet still quiet. the wifi worked very well, which was a plus. the courtyard with the pomegranate tree was absolutely lovely. the owner was friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, even providing me with cookies and fruit juice for breakfast when I had to skip it for a tour. the Turkish breakfast was rich and delicious. the staff were also very helpful, with one of them even making a phone call for me without asking for any payment. the drinking water was also sold at a cheaper price compared to other shops, which was great for backpackers. And lastly, the mansion had its traditional charm, making it a unique and authentic experience.
