Stunning rooftop views during breakfast.

My experience at Hotel Troya was extremely frustrating. The rooms were unbearably warm despite the December chill, and the air conditioning barely helped, leaving us feeling like we were in a sauna. To add to the discomfort, our window overlooked a vertical shaft, completely shutting out natural daylight, which made the room feel claustrophobic. The noise from the parties on the 7th floor was unbearable, as we struggled to sleep past 1:30 AM almost every night. While I hoped for a pleasant breakfast, it was lackluster at best, offering weak options that didn’t meet expectations.

coming back to istanbul for a wedding ceremony, my experience exceeded my expectations. the breakfast on the rooftop was a highlight, offering amazing views and a great selection. the staff were super helpful, even lending us an istanbul card for public transport, which made our stay so much easier.

The location is just top-notch for exploring! The brekkie on the rooftop was a lekker way to start the day, seriously the views were amazing. The staff were all so friendly, felt like I was catching up with old mates!

Wow, the smoked meat I had at Troya was nothing short of legendary! Pair that with the charming staff like Mr Samy at reception and Ms. Israa, the restaurant manager, who’s always eager to help, and you’ve got a knockout experience!

On the flip side, the room felt a bit stuffy and dark, with no AC and a wall right outside the window. Plus, if you're there on a Friday night, the live music can keep you buzzing—pack earplugs just in case!

i really enjoyed my stay at troya. it's in a great location near taksim, making it easy to explore the area. the rooftop view during breakfast was fantastic, and the fitness center and sauna were free to use! the breakfast spread was quite enjoyable, too.

The rooftop terrace provides stunning views and an enjoyable breakfast experience, impressive enough to linger over the fresh dishes. Also, the hotel sits conveniently close to popular spots like Taksim Square, making it easy to dive into the local scene.

However, many rooms are on the small side, making them feel cramped. Noise from the rooftop parties and street can make it tough to get a good night's sleep, especially for rooms facing the terrace. Lastly, the limited water pressure in the showers can be frustrating.

Found nothing wrong

The hotel's location just off Istiklal Street made it extremely convenient for exploring nearby cafés and bars. The rooftop breakfast offered a delightful array of refined dishes with gorgeous views, contributing to a pleasant morning experience. However, the room was quite small and lacked soundproofing, making it difficult to sleep peacefully, especially due to noise from the terrace restaurant in the evenings. Cleanliness was satisfactory, but the dated decor could use a refresh. Staff were friendly and responsive when issues arose, such as a malfunctioning light in the bathroom.
