Abbots Mead offered a convenient location, within walking distance of the town centre, the station, and the picturesque riverside of Coleham. the hotel had a welcoming team, led by the friendly and accommodating Carolina, who made me feel well taken care of from the moment I arrived until I left. the room was spacious and well-lit, allowing me to catch up on work before exploring the beautiful town of Shrewsbury. the recently redecorated hotel also provided a pleasant garden view from the breakfast room, where I enjoyed a delicious and freshly cooked breakfast.

One thing I appreciated was that they offered me a different room upon arrival, giving me the opportunity to have a nice view from the window at no extra cost. the hotel also allowed me to store my luggage until my departure, which was very helpful.

The location of the hotel was perfect for exploring the beautiful town of Shrewsbury. We were able to park our motorcycles right in front of the property, which was convenient for our early departure. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast in the modern extension at the rear of the building was nice. We also appreciated the small size of the room and bathroom, as it added to the character of the property.

We did encounter some issues with cleanliness during our stay. Our room had not been properly cleaned before our arrival and the toilet seat and shower door were broken.

We got great value for our money at Abbots Mead! The room was cozy and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the town and taking walks along the river. The staff treated us like family, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from. Highly recommended!
