Afon Rhaiadr Country House is the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The location is simply breathtaking, with the opportunity to open the window in the mornings to the sound of birdsong and waterfalls. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, providing a cozy and comfortable stay. The service is exceptional, with the owners going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience, from ringing the local restaurants to book tables for us to providing helpful tips and maps for hiking. The breakfast options are extensive, with delicious choices like salmon and scrambled eggs or light and fluffy omelettes. The surrounding area is also a real highlight, with the property being located in a 'dark sky' area, making it perfect for stargazing at night.

Some facilities need to be pre-ordered the day before, which can be a slight inconvenience.

During my recent business trip to Wales, my director chose Afon Rhaiadr Country House for our stay, and what a wonderful choice it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, Gareth and Gina, the hosts, showered us with the warmest reception I've ever experienced at an accommodation. Their attentiveness to our every need and their wealth of information about the area truly enhanced our stay. the house itself is a haven of tranquility, nestled amidst beautiful surroundings, with impeccably clean and cozy accommodations. Every meal we had was of top quality, and the attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was truly remarkable.

Stayed at this hotel recently and had the most fantastic time! the hosts were incredibly welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. the house is set in beautiful grounds, with plenty to explore and stunning views. the rooms were comfortable and clean, with attention to detail. Breakfast was delicious and kept us satisfied all morning. the hosts provided excellent recommendations for activities and dining options in the area.

One minor issue was the size of the garden room, which was a bit on the small side. the private terrace allowed for some extra space.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. the database provided was exceptional, offering a wide range of resources and information. the room with a jacuzzi bath was a fantastic addition, providing a relaxing experience after a long day of exploring. the little extras such as luxury toiletries and a private bathroom close by added to the overall luxurious feel of the room.

The limited hours of access to the pool in the database. It would have been nice to have more flexibility in terms of when I could enjoy a swim.

We had a delightful stay at Afon Rhaiadr Country House. The hosts were welcoming, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. Our room, the Foxglove, was beautifully decorated and surrounded by lush greenery. The attention to detail in the room and bathroom was exceptional. We enjoyed sitting in the conservatory, observing the birds at the many feeders. The breakfast selection was fantastic, and we even had a delicious dinner at the house. The property had stunning gardens and charming woodland paths leading to a waterfall and stream. We also appreciated the proximity to Dolgellau, with its variety of restaurants and pubs. a peaceful and enjoyable weekend getaway.
