I recently stayed at Allerton House for a short trip to explore the area. The location was perfect - close enough to the town center for convenience but still quiet and peaceful. The owner greeted me warmly and even upgraded my room to a comfortable double. The lounge and fire made for a cozy welcome. The room itself was spacious with great views, a fantastic shower, and a firm yet cozy bed. The breakfast was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. I definitely plan on returning!

The breakfast, sourced from local suppliers, was delicious. The owner, William, went above and beyond to make us feel like family. When we left an item behind, he promptly retrieved it and even sent it to our next destination. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks, such as an availability issue with room types and a mix-up with breakfast preferences, our overall experience was outstanding. We would highly recommend Allerton House for its elegance, comfort, and personal touch. I'll definitely recommend this hotel.

I had a fantastic stay at a beautiful B&B, nestled in a convenient location for exploring the border. The room was spacious, spotless, and had everything I needed. The host, William, was welcoming and friendly. He cooked up a breakfast that was truly delectable, with the black pudding being a standout. I will definitely be returning for another wonderful stay. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was top-notch, and the hotel facilities were excellent. Parking was convenient, and we were able to easily explore the town centre on foot. The location was also ideal for visiting the abbeys and other sites in the area. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

The location was perfect, just a short walk from the town centre and down quite a steep hill. The room was large, clean, and well-furnished, with a wonderful view of the garden and the castle. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. the room we stayed in was beautiful and well-equipped with everything we needed. the location of the hotel was very convenient, with local attractions and the town centre within easy walking distance. the breakfast served was delicious, with a wide variety of choices and quality ingredients.

While the bed comfort was only average, it was still not uncomfortable. Another minor downside was the limited range of restaurants in the area, especially on weekdays.

We had a great romantic escape, enjoying the beautiful decor of our nicely decorated room. the hotel was well-located, only a short walk from the town center and the main attractions. We also loved the fact that there was secure storage for our bikes.

One of the worst aspects of our stay was that the breakfast could have been better. Although it was okay, we felt it lacked a certain level of quality.
