The hotel is ideally located right in the center of Ambleside, making it convenient for guests to explore the town and have easy access to pubs, restaurants, and shops. The rooms are comfortable and well-furnished, providing a cozy atmosphere for guests to relax in after a day of activities. The breakfast selection is excellent, offering a wide variety of choices to suit different preferences.

The cleanliness in the spa area could be improved as some guests have mentioned finding abandoned towels and robes in the women's changing rooms.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The warm welcome I received from the staff was exceptional. Alison, the deputy manager, went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. The new room I was moved to was outstanding and provided a comfortable stay. The hotel facilities, including the indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna. The location of the hotel was perfect, central to the town and within walking distance of a variety of restaurants and pubs. The breakfast served at the hotel was delicious. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and made my visit extra special.

As a budget traveler, the Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect, with a coin-operated laundry just two blocks away and plenty of camping/hiking supply shops nearby. The hotel's pool area and spa services were a nice addition, and the breakfast was simply amazing. The room itself was exceptional, with a jacuzzi bath, a hot tub on the balcony, and a wet room-type shower. The bed was very comfortable, and the hotel staff provided excellent service throughout our stay.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, from the guest rooms to the common areas, making us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. The facilities, including the gym, indoor pool, and outdoor hot tub, were top-notch and provided us with endless opportunities for relaxation and enjoyment. The secure parking offered within the hotel property was a huge bonus, as it allowed us to easily explore the numerous restaurants and attractions in the surrounding area without worrying about our car. And speaking of location, this hotel couldn't have been situated in a better spot. It was right in the center of the town, giving us easy access to all the charm and beauty that the Lake District has to offer.

We had such a wonderful stay at Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa. The lakeside room we stayed in, Red Screes, was absolutely stunning and made our stay extra special. The room had great facilities, including a kitchen, lounge area, balcony, and a two-person hot tub. The bathroom was spacious and probably the best I've seen in any hotel stay. The gym and spa were also clean and modern, and provided a great place to relax when the weather wasn't so good. Breakfast was amazing and offered a wide variety of options, and the breakfast room itself was gorgeous. The customer service was top-notch, and we were even able to get a late checkout, which was the perfect ending to our stay. I can confidently say that Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa is now our favorite place to stay in the lakes.

I stayed at a spa hotel during the new year with some friends. The hotel had a selection of spa facilities and an on-site gym, which was great for working off the festive food. One of the best aspects of the hotel was the close proximity to the town centre, making it easy to explore and find entertainment. the staff were very friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

The rooms were a bit small and outdated, not giving us enough space to comfortably move around in. There were also some problems with the water pressure in the shower which was frustrating.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this luxurious hotel in Ambleside, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of Ambleside with stunning views of the surrounding area. It was so convenient to have plenty of restaurants and shops just a stone's throw away from the hotel.
