We recently stayed at the lovely Ardgowan Guest House for a few nights and had a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the city center, and the beautiful building added to the charm. Our room was surprisingly spacious and the shared bathrooms were never an issue as there were always one available. The owners were incredibly helpful and flexible when our travel plans changed, and the room was tidied and provided with fresh towels daily. The interior of the house was tastefully done, with modern facilities, and Maureen, one of the owners, was an absolute delight, always mindful of our needs.

I had a great stay at this guest house. The location was perfect for me as it was close to the University of Edinburgh's King's Building campus where I had meetings. The house itself was charming and situated in a nice neighborhood. I was able to easily access the city center and the airport from here. Additionally, there were plenty of shops nearby, including a supermarket and a large shopping center right across the street. The staff was friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. The bathroom in my room looked newly refurbished, which was a nice bonus.

The room was clean and tidy, with a nice kettle and tea/coffee provided. the location was convenient, with easy access to public transportation. One of the best things was the unique decor in the house, which added character to the stay.

The staff were not friendly and lacked any enthusiasm. the room booked through an online platform did not match the description, and there was no effort made to rectify the mistake.

Rooms cleaned daily, with new towels. Heaters in room and bathroom. Microwave on second floor. Bus stops nearby. Shopping center across the road with supermarkets, bank, coffee shops, and more. McDonald's and petrol station also opposite. Laundry service available nearby.

The room we stayed in was a bit small, and the double bed and blanket were not generously sized. However, we were impressed with the newly refurbished bathroom. The host of the guest house was incredibly friendly and helpful, adding to the positive experience. Although the room got quite cold in the morning, the location of the guest house was easily accessible by public buses and there were many shops nearby. we had a good stay at Ardgowan Guest House.

We had a fantastic five-night stay at a hospitable guest house. the room was of impressive quality with a lovely bathroom. the shared bathroom was also nice and not busy. the microwave in the hall was very useful. A nearby shopping center, including Sainsbury's, was convenient for buying supplies. Multiple bus routes made it easy to reach central Oldtown Edinburgh. Along the bus route, we found plenty of good places to eat. the guest house provided a great base for our family trip. Thank you!

The location of the guest house was very convenient as it was close to the bus station and a nearby shopping centre. It was also within walking distance to the town centre. The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds. The bathroom was well-maintained and the shower provided hot water. The host was friendly and accommodating, providing fresh towels daily.

I got great value for my money at the guest house - the room was spacious, clean, and well-furnished with a large flat screen Smart TV, which was a pleasant surprise for a guest house in this area. The location was convenient, with a shopping center right across the street where I could easily grab groceries and find places to eat. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making my stay even better.

When it comes to breakfast choices, it would have been nice to have a wider variety of options available.

There was nothing I didn't like.

We stayed at Ardgowan Guest House for three nights during our visit to Edinburgh. The location was ideal, with Arthur Seat just a short distance away. The quadraple room was a great deal, and having a parking lot was very convenient as we rented a car to explore the Highlands. The lady who ran the guest house was incredibly warm and accommodating, even allowing us to pay the next day when we didn't have cash and arrived late. The beds were comfortable, the rooms spacious, and the toilets clean and newly renovated. The staff were friendly and the overall value for money was excellent.

As women traveling alone, we felt very comfortable and safe at the guest house. The large and comfortable room had excellent beds. The host was super friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage in the room after check out. The interior design reminded us of the old days and the bathroom was spacious. The guest house is conveniently located near a shopping center and bus stops.

Felt very happy, no reason to complain.
