We stayed at a charming hotel with a tranquil garden area, close to the vibrant nightlife and fantastic dining options. The room was beautifully decorated, with comfortable bedding and a clean bathroom. The staff provided exceptional service, and the breakfast had an impressive selection. The lounge areas were well-maintained, and the honesty bar was a great touch. The only downside was the lack of window covering in our ground floor room.

Lovely stay at Darwin's Townhouse in the town centre. Stayed one night on our way to North Wales. The room was clean and spacious, with great facilities including a coffee machine and fan. The decor was unique, with a Galapagos theme and beautiful gardens. Hannah was very welcoming and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and places of interest. The breakfast was delicious and served in a charming conservatory. The hotel had a comfortable lounge and peaceful garden. Would definitely return again.

The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the town, close to all amenities and surrounded by beautiful scenery. You can easily explore the old town which is built on a huge rocky promontory surrounded by a big loop of the river. The hotel is also close to the town centre, making it easy to access shops and restaurants. you'll find some lovely boutique shops on the Cop nearby.

Some guests mentioned that the single bedroom on the street side could be a bit noisy, especially for light sleepers.

We had a fantastic stay at Darwin's Townhouse in Shrewsbury. Our upgrade to the octagonal room was a delightful surprise, complete with excellent facilities and a peaceful garden view. The decor, inspired by Darwin's love for the natural world, was unique and captivating. The nutritious and delicious breakfast, served in a lovely conservatory, was the perfect start to our day.

The bed in our room was incredibly comfortable, and the shared lounge facilities were beautifully decorated. The courtyard garden was a lovely touch and we enjoyed sitting outside with our pet greyhound. The location was perfect, with a pay and display car park just a few yards away for a very reasonable price.

Our room was quite small and the heating didn't work properly, leaving us feeling quite cold. The provided heater didn't give off enough heat to make a significant difference.

The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, being close to all shops, the business district, and a short walk from the centre. The rooms are clean and excellently decorated, with spacious bathrooms and all necessary facilities. The staff are friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service. The breakfast is plentiful, with a good selection of options available.

One downside is that some rooms have a view of a noisy pub, which can be a bit bothersome.
