We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the guest house and were upgraded to a larger room for free. The communication with the landlady was excellent throughout our stay. The room was nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The homemade bread and delicious breakfast each morning were a delightful touch. The bathroom and furnishings were spacious and well-maintained. Despite a slightly chilly room at times, the extra heater and warm bedding provided us with plenty of comfort.

I couldn't believe my luck when I found this guest house. It's located right down the street from the famous "whisky castle" shop, making it the perfect spot for whiskey enthusiasts like myself. The hotel had a great location, with the ski slopes just a stone's throw away and the renowned whisky "castle" shop down the street. It was also conveniently close to several places to have dinner. The staff provided excellent service, with a very warm welcome from the owner and a wealth of local knowledge. The rooms were comfortable and had a lovely view from the windows. What a charming and cosy guesthouse we found! After a long day of traveling, we were warmly welcomed by the fabulously quirky owner, Diane. She even upgraded our room at no extra charge, ensuring our comfort. The next morning, we enjoyed a delightful full Scottish breakfast with homemade fresh soda bread. The Stag Room was perfect for us and our dog, and the hosts, Diane and Steven, were attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for its warmth, comfort, and delicious breakfast.
