Spotless guest house in central location. Excellent breakfast, sets you up for the day. Friendly owners, felt like leaving friends. Beautifully decorated rooms. Ideal for exploring the town.

For the price we paid, we got incredible value. The room was bright, clean, and had plenty of hot water with an excellent shower. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the town center. The staff, Gilly and Kristian, treated us like old friends and provided us with helpful local knowledge. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, setting us up for the day. We'll definitely be returning to this lovely B&B.

The only thing that could have made the breakfast even better was if the mattress had been a bit softer. Unfortunately, it was a bit hard and made it a little difficult for me to sleep well.

The owners went above and beyond to make our stay special. They left a card and bottle of fizz in our room to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with lovely bedding and fluffy towels. The location of the hotel was also a key factor for us. It was close to the town center, making it easy to walk to shops and restaurants. the breakfast was fantastic, especially the poached eggs.

There were a few drawbacks to our stay. the placement of the TV in our room was odd.

We were pleasantly surprised by the range of amenities provided in our room, including a cozy sitting area, complimentary tea and coffee facilities, and a flat-screen TV for our entertainment. The attention to detail was evident, from the comfortable carpeted floors to the quality of the free toiletries provided. We truly felt like we were in a home away from home.

For us it was ideal.

The guest house was beautifully decorated and the hospitality was exceptional. The owners went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay, leaving us a card and a bottle of fizz on our anniversary. The breakfast was one of the best we've had, with delightful and well-presented dishes. The location was central, with everything we needed within walking distance.

The bed was a bit too firm for our liking, but it didn't affect our sleep. The stairs to our room were steep and a bit difficult to climb for us, but we managed.

The warm welcome at Ashwood House was exceptional, making me feel right at home from the moment I stepped through the door. Loved the vintage vibes and yummy breakfast. Convenient location, but beware of parking. Wi-Fi was a lifesaver.
