The Black Bull Inn in Moffat is a great find for anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay. The rooms are small but well-equipped, with fully accessible bathrooms and even bunk beds for extra space. The attention to detail is impressive, with amenities provided in the bar area downstairs. The location, situated in the heart of the market place, is ideal for exploring the town and enjoying the local atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. And even though breakfast is not included, the strong coffee served in the morning is a perfect way to start your day.

The hotel's location in the town square was ideal, just a short walk away from other bars in the area. The public areas of the hotel and other accommodation in the village were well-maintained and inviting. The rooms were comfortable and had great amenities, including a fantastic shower and strong coffee served in the morning.

The rooms at this hotel are newly refurbished and super comfortable and clean. They felt like they were designed and laid out by someone who actually has children, which was a nice touch. The staff here are excellent, from the person who showed me to my room to the person who cooked my breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it was unreal - the full works breakfast with good quality sausage was a highlight of my stay.

All in all, my experience at this hotel was great.

The location of this hotel is excellent, right in the middle of the little town with its many pubs, cafes, shops, and a friendly atmosphere. It's also great for exploring the lovely countryside nearby.

The only thing I would say is that the bathroom was a bit small. It felt more like a cupboard than a bathroom, with no room to turn around and no towel rail.

We stayed at a lovely hotel in Moffat and had a fantastic experience. the room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with a super comfy bed and luxurious amenities like robes and towels. the shower was amazing too! We appreciated the little extras like a tea/coffee tray and nice lighting. the staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. They even provided treats and food for our dog, which was a lovely touch. the evening meal and breakfast were both delicious, with a good selection of quality cooked food. it was a wonderful stay and we highly recommend this hotel.

pricey for solo travelers

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was beautiful and clean, with a cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and efficient, always ready to help and make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, and we appreciated being able to bring our dog with us. The location was great, just a 5-minute walk from a lovely park, lake, and shops.

We spent our Xmas holiday in this hotel and we had a great experience. the room was very spacious and well furnished. We appreciated the fact that they provided us with a bed and treats for our dog. the location of the hotel was also a key factor in our choice as it was very close to the town center and all its amenities.

There were some aspects that we did not like. parking was a bit of an issue as there were limited spaces available.
